Ryan Leedu is a filmmaker from the Canadian prairies. Vital Only Films is the sole-proprietorship production company for his work.

Ryan makes short films that are grounded in the mundane, featuring characters that are desperate to define themselves and to find connection through any means they know how. He also directs commercials and scrappy music videos for disgruntled cowboys.

Ryan is the President of the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta (FAVA), and an alumni of the Reykjavik Film Festival Talent Lab (2024) and the Canadian Film Centre Director’s Lab (2025).
